After several Shows and burn festival appearances in the Southeast and Colorado, Ginza is in the lab preparing for a big year in 2011 spending the cold winter freeze cooking up the next level of bass at Earth One Records. Having signed a new management deal he is ramping up for several big shows and at some point a big album release in 2011. Don’t miss the 2011 kick off show at Vinyl, Saturday Feb 12, 2011, Atlanta GA. Check out this preview of some new Ginza dubstep fiyah; Thank you all for another great year celebrating Earth One Studios marching in to its 8th year of business. In 2009 we produced the release of 5 full length albums and countless eps, singles, and new artist projects. In 2010 we will be looking forward to new releases from Lyve, Magnif, Lyve, Gabor, Samuel Alexander, Ginza, Mausiki Scales, Menace, Mick Starr, Dynamq, Eclectic Roots Ensemble, Will Thompson, Anne Harper, Your Uncle Bill Who Went Crazy, Tim McNary and many more! Its been an amazing journey and I would like to again thank all who have contributed to the growth and success of the studio. There’s no telling what will happen this new year but I can only expect there will be more focused creative work, beautiful sounds and positive spirits. Julie, whose astoundingly crisp, playful and self composed vocal arrangments brought in two of Atlanta’s most talented horns in the studio, Kebbie Williams (sax/flute) and Russel Gun (trumpet). Not since the presence of reggae/jazz trombone monster Johnathan Lloyd and Eric Thomas (Elevate the Quest) has Earth One been blessed with such an overwhelming air of brass musicianship. With Mausiki Scales (Common Ground Collective) on the projects keys, this is one of the greatest meeting of musical minds in Atlanta’s history, looking forward to Julie’s release with pleasure. Mausiki will bring the legendary Roy Ares to the studio in september for some deep afro beat sessions, a rythmic Fela inspired vibe which also makes it way in on Julie’s new releases. -ginza
